Hey loves! Happy new year and let's start the year off fresh here on the blog with a collective haul of beautiful Lush Cosmetics goodies :) a week ago I mentioned a post on my Instagram @kym_le, well here it is!
Now I've had favorites from Lush like the Sweetie Pie jelly soap, the Imperialis moisturizer and the Ocean Salt cleanser. Never talked about since I was never super confident but I love, love, love the above products and definitely recommend to incorporate at least the moisturizer and the cleanser into some sort of routine (the jelly soap can be tricky to use if you have issues with its strange consistency!)
Now, for the good part! I've purchased several items from Lush the past 2 or 3 months specifically from their annual holiday collection to share with you all! I have tried nearly all of them but a sista can only take so many baths! Here's the first part pictured:
Pictured above is (top left to bottom right):
Star Light Star Bright bath melt: Retails for $6.95
I actually ended up buying a couple of these because it made me feel like a mermaid in her habitat with the silver sparkles and invigorating scent of almost sharp citrus (am I crazy?). It also had a lovely turquoise center in it which further amped the "unda da sea"-ness of it all!
Butter bear bath bomb: Retails for $4.95
I actually got the little guy for his cute little look! (Who wouldn't? He's adorable.) Simple, fun and I was excited to try the little guy and his simple creamy aroma is soo lovely.
Space Girl bath bomb: Retails for $5.25
This isn't part of their holiday collection but I got it for its not-so-overwhelming scent and its loud exterior. The bath bomb is so lovely when it hits the water, surprising you with not only it's cooler shades of blues and purples, it has popping candies to give an extra loud touch and leaves a trail of glitter behind, making you feel like a bathing space princess! I ended up buying a couple of these, as well, lol!
Holly Golightly bubble bar: Retails for $10.95
Now with this one, the foreign scent of "CHRISTMAS" was what almost turned me off this product. The scent is very crisp and strange to me but I got it convinced by the sparkle and aesthetic of it and I wanted to maybe stray from my usual favorite citrus scents and try the spicier scents. It's not all that bad, just a bit different for me.
Snow Angel cross between a bath bomb and luxury bath melt: Retails for $7.95
This one is great!!! The consistency of it is strange (in a good way!) since its part bath melt, part bath bomb! It's exciting and fizzy in the bath while also giving you an almost luxurious softening affect on the skin. The gold sparkle and creamy aroma is amazing and I wish I had gotten more while they were around!
The Christmas Hedgehog bubblebar: Retails for $7.25
This lil cutie doesn't do much for scent for me but its so fun to crumble him up and bath in the suds he gives off! He leaves my skin feeling refreshed and this one is a nice change from his sparkly companions.
Melting Snowman bath melt: Retails for $5.95
This guy disappeared a little too quickly for me to enjoy fully :(. Then again, I like my baths/showers very, very hot. But he was fun while he lasted? (Sigh)
Reindeer Rock soap: Retails for $6.95 + (prices vary on the size of cut of soap)
This was actually suggested to me by a customer I was helping one day at work! She had a bunch of stuff from lush and I was making conversation with her by just talking about our fave lush products! Reindeer rock sounded interesting and she let (insisted!) I smelled her recently bought lush goodies in her bag! I mentioned the Sweetie Pie jelly soap above and the scent of that one is of black current among other magnificent things. Reindeer rock had black current and silver sparkles in it and I'm in love! The consistency is sort of like a hardened jelly which has a hard time (at least I'm having a hard time) sudsing it up in my showers! But it's so lovely and y'all will see I got a couple bars cut for me of these fantastic festive guys! The silver sparkle impressions of reindeer are inspired by cave paintings which I found so cool incorporated into the product even if they did lose their sparkle almost instantly.
And here's the second round when I found out about the BOGO FREE sale:
More of the Reindeer Rock soaps!!! They are amazing and I got half the cut I wanted for free because the guy wanted to save my broke booty money, lol!!! So instead of a $16.00 bar I got the whole one cut in half for only around $8.00!
Dashing Santa bath bomb: Retails for $5.95
I got this guy on impulse in the excitement of the sale along with the next item! He's just a simple bath bomb made to look super festive and I love him <3
Snow Fairy Sparkle solid moisturizer: Retails for $7.95
This one is really interesting, to say the least! It has fine silver sparkles and my "guilty pleasure scent" of snow fairy from their holiday collection! You just squish it and spread over your body like a moisturizer and it leaves a nice subtle sparkle behind (the pink fades the more you rub it!) and I wish I got more of these. I imagine these to be a one-time use product but I cut mine up into smaller bits :)
Another Space Girl bath bomb <3
And the non Christmas bit, the Brightside bubble bar <3 Retails for $10.95
What can I say? It leaves an amazing citrus scent and makes bubbles!!! I'm in love. This is a close favorite to the Sunnyside bubble bar I hold so close to my heart, lol!
*NOT PICTURED BATH BABES I GOT
This bath bomb is a really good price for what it holds inside! It has the cutest surprise inside of its blue box center, it reminds me of the Sailor Moon inspired bath bomb I got last summer! I cracked this one open with my boyfriend (TMI?) while he was here and I wish I had it pictured </3 and gotten more. Sigh. I love these kinds of bath bombs with the mini ones inside.
Father Christmas bath bomb: Retails for $6.40
All I can say is this is the first one I used so I could get it out of the way... He was a weird one, lol. Delightful light scent, though!
Magic Wand bubble bar: Retails for $9.95
I actually also had this last year and got maybe 4 or 5 last year (no shame) the scent was a bit much but it's too cute to pass up! Just swirl it around and the little bell was a nice touch, as well!
Anyways thank you all for a lovely year, though infrequent I appreciate all the love and support from the number of views and also outside support. Here's to a more bountiful year on my blog!
